Our Solutions
NLH solutions are the backbone of GTO Genesis. We strive for perfection in both preflop and postflop settings. This page explains our solution methodology in detail and our accuracy benchmarks.
What Are Solutions?
When we refer to solutions, we are talking about the underlying data that our solver library is built on. For every rake structure, we have a unique set of preflop ranges and postflop solutions.
Preflop Solutions
Our preflop solutions are solved using HoldemResources Calculator down to a CI level of 0.75 – a very tight convergence threshold that usually takes a powerful server several days to reach.
Preflop simulations are run with different sizing schemes to determine practical solver-backed sizes. This process will be detailed in future articles.
Every preflop spot is solved using specific parameters according to rake structure, stack depth, and any other relevant factors in order to capture the most accurate preflop ranges to build our postflop solves on top of.
Postflop Solutions
Our postflop solutions are solved using our custom CFR engine. All of our No Limit Hold’em Solutions use zero card abstractions and zero neural approximations. Our solutions are computed using mathematically pure CFR and to extremely low exploitability thresholds:
- 0.2% for SRP spots
- 0.1% for all non-SRP spots
Correctness is routinely verified against commercial solvers such as GTO+ and HRC. In the following comparison, we present solutions for a BTN vs. BB 3-bet pot computed with identical rake structures, betting trees, and ranges – each solved to a 0.1% exploitability threshold. We show both our solutions and solutions from GTO+ to demonstrate the accuracy of our solutions:
Note that minor frequency differences are expected, as many solutions exist that satisfy any given convergence requirement. What matters is that EV is identical and that strategy is largely similar.
